Rachel Drake graduated from Glasgow School of Art in 1994 with 1st class BA(Hons). She is renowned for her stunning paintings of architectural subjects, in particular churches. Her favourite subjects are buildings, especially doorways and arches, but she is happy to paint seacapes, landscapes and other subject matter.

For many years she taught at the prestigious Glasgow School of Art, leaving in 2007 to paint full time. She continues to teach privately and runs workshops for both adults and children.
